Richard is actually a sparrow, but he was raised by storks from an early age. Thus he thinks he is one himself. One day he hears the truth and shortly afterwards his family starts their trek to Africa without him. But Richard is stubborn: he travels after the others, to prove that he really is a stork. Along the way, he befriends Olga, a rather large little owl, and Kiki, a cheerful parakeet with a fear of heights. Together the three travel further south. Along the way, they encounter angry bats, electronic carrier pigeons, mafia crows and a deadly honey badger. The question is when Richard will finally realize that he is not a tiny stork but a mighty sparrow...
