When the CIA is suspected of a series of murders of journalists, the brilliant and rebellious agent Steve Vail (Aaron Eckhart) is called in to put a stop to it. Vail, who left the Secret Intelligence Service several years ago, turns out to have close ties to the mastermind behind the attacks, Victor Radek (Clifton Collins Jr.). This forces him to confront his controversial past. Together with his partner Kate Bannon (Nina Dobrey), he travels to Greece to stop the extortion and unravel the international conspiracy.
