This week the shooting period for the new adventurous family movie BOEIEN! from director Bob Wilbers has started. That is what distributor Just Entertainment and producer Messercola announced today. The cast amongst others contains Cees Geel, Sarah Chronis, Edwin Jonker and Klaasje Meijer. Ellie Lust makes her movie debut in BOEIEN! and this is also the first Dutch movie Klaasje plays in after leaving the girlgroup K3. Shining right beside them are Juvat Westendorp, Ferdi Stofmeel, Filip Bolluyt, Wesley Mutsaars and Sietske van Peursum. Also Luuk van der Boom, son of the famous singer Jeroen van deer Boom, Yalaih Vroom and Wout Visser make their movie debut in BOEIEN!
BOEIEN! Is set on cruiseship ‘The Romance’ where Captain Hartman (Cees Geel) rules together with his lovely assistent Jitske (Klaasje Meijer).
Ravi (Yailah Vroom), a clever 11 year old girl, and Benja (WoutVisser), her annoying 8 year old stepbrother, can’t stand each other. As a blendedfamily they go with their parents on a cruise vacation. The kids are everything but excited. But the participation of father Orlando (Edwin Jonker) and motherMaartje (Sarah Chronis) in a wedding competition on board should bring the familyback together.
But not everyone on board of the cruise has the same good intentions. Onno (Ferdi Stofmeel) and Ted (Juvat Westendorp) are cleaners onboard of the ship and together with the head of security (Ellie Lust) theysteal expensive belongings of passengers. If they suddenly stumble upon aproblem Onno and Ted have the amazing idea to kidnap Ravi and Benja. The kidshave to do whatever it takes to escape the crooks and doing so build an amazing brother-sister relation.
BOEIEN! is directed by Bob Wilbers and produced by Messercola. Previously Messercola had produced successful movies such as De Grote Sinterklaasfilm which was rewarded with a Golden Movie. And also Expeditie van Familie Vos, which wasn’t released in cinemas due to Covid but had a very successful digital release. The distribution of BOEIEN! Is in the handsof Just Entertainment.
